Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your use of the FunFact mobile application (the “app”). By downloading or using FunFact, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. The service

FunFact is a general-knowledge and fact-discovery app. It provides a free, ad-free experience with optional Premium features. FunFact does not require an account. Features depend on the permissions and device settings you choose, including notification permission.

2. Your licence to use FunFact

Subject to these Terms and the rules of the store from which you downloaded the app, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use FunFact for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the app except where applicable law permits it.

3. Your responsibilities

• You are responsible for the device and settings used to access FunFact.
• You are responsible for the facts, favourites and collections you create or save in the app.
• You must not use FunFact unlawfully, interfere with its operation or attempt to circumvent purchase or access controls.

4. Premium subscriptions and purchases

FunFact is free to download and offers optional auto-renewing Premium subscriptions. Current plans may include:

• Weekly: €4.99
• Monthly: €8.99
• Annual: €24.99
• Annual introductory or promotional offer: €19.99, when shown to you

FunFact is intended to be available worldwide, subject to App Store availability and local law. The price, currency, billing period, trial and promotion that apply to you are always the ones displayed by the App Store before you confirm a purchase.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at purchase confirmation, or after any trial period shown at checkout.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel a subscription in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
• Apple handles billing and refunds under its policies. FunFact does not process card payments directly.
• RevenueCat helps FunFact verify Premium access. A successful purchase is not, by itself, a guarantee of entitlement; the current RevenueCat customer information is the source of truth.

5. Facts and educational content

Facts are provided for information, learning and entertainment. They are not medical, legal, financial or other professional advice. Sources may be provided in the app, but you should independently verify information before relying on it for an important decision. We may correct, remove or update content without notice.

6. Intellectual property

The FunFact name, branding, software, design and original catalogue content are owned by their respective rights holders and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not give you rights to our trademarks or branding. You keep any rights you have in content you create locally, such as collection names.

7. Availability and disclaimer

FunFact is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that the app or its catalogue will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, complete or suitable for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee any specific learning outcome.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FunFact and its developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the app. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using FunFact at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end access to the app or a feature if reasonably necessary to protect the service, comply with law or address misuse. Ending use of the app does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as FunFact evolves. We will update the date above when we make changes. Your continued use of FunFact after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

11. Consumer rights and governing law

These Terms are subject to the mandatory consumer-protection rights and laws that apply in your country of residence. Nothing here removes rights that cannot legally be excluded.
